The original home was a 1990’s inexpensive box, but in a premier location. New owners engaged us to assist in design, providing interior finishes and their installation. The home was more than doubled in size and virtually entirely gutted.
The popular ski-in/ski-out Timbers townhouses are 20 years old and were built with a “lodge” design theme. We were contacted by the original owners to bring the great room into the 2020s by lightening it up and reconfiguring the kitchen to provide an island, moving the fireplace, and creating different traffic patterns in the space.
This Lakeside Home was the brainchild of a Mainer who had spent much of his life living elsewhere. Wanting to be able to return to his beloved home state and luxuriate in the traditional themes of the Western Maine Mountains and Lakes, we worked with the owner to create the ultimate family retreat, but with a “guys” twist.
